Looking for dog boarding in Orlando but not sure how to choose the right place?

You’re not alone.

With so many options near Universal Studios, EPIC Universe, and across Orlando, it can be overwhelming to know who to trust with your dog.

The truth is — not all dog boarding is the same.

Here’s what to look for (and what to avoid) so you can feel confident your dog is safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away.

🛑 1. Safety Should Always Come First

Before anything else, ask:

• Are dogs supervised at all times?

• Are playgroups structured and controlled?

• Are dogs grouped by size and temperament?

• Is there a plan for emergencies or medical needs?

• Is there a bio-safety plan in place in case a dog needs to be isolated to prevent illness?

At Universal Dog Care Orlando:

🐾 SMALL, SAFE playgroups
🐾 Constant supervision
🐾 Care tailored to your dog’s personality

👉 This is one of the biggest differences between a great experience and a stressful one.

❄️ 2. Environment Matters More Than You Think

Orlando heat is no joke — and your dog feels it too.

Look for:

• Climate-controlled indoor spaces

• Clean, comfortable sleeping areas

• Safe outdoor access (not overcrowded or chaotic)

What we provide:

❄️ Climate-controlled INDOOR rooms
🌳 LEASHED walks in a fully fenced yard
🏡 Clean, home-based environment

A calm, controlled environment helps reduce stress and keeps dogs healthier.

📸 3. Communication & Updates (This is HUGE)

One of the biggest concerns pet parents have is:
“What is my dog doing right now?”

A great boarding facility will:

• Send regular photo updates

• Be easy to contact

• Keep you informed if anything changes

With us:

📸 Lots of PHOTO UPDATES throughout the day
💬 Easy communication by text
💛 Full transparency and peace of mind

You shouldn’t have to wonder — you should see your dog happy.

🐕 4. Structured Routine = Happier Dogs

Dogs thrive on routine.

Ask if the facility provides:

• Scheduled playtime

• Rest periods

• Consistent daily structure

Our routine includes:

🐕 Playgroups from 8 AM to 7 PM
🐾 Balanced activity and rest
🦴 Safe, structured social interaction

This keeps dogs calm, engaged, and far less anxious.

⏰ 5. Flexibility for Real-Life Schedules

Most boarding facilities operate on strict hours.

But real life (and Orlando travel) doesn’t.

Think:

• Early flights ✈️

• Late nights 🌙

• Theme parks 🎢

• Conventions 🎟

We do things differently:

We’re available 24/7 — because your schedule doesn’t stop at 5 PM.

Need early drop-off? Late pickup?
We’ve got you covered. 🐾

💛 6. Experience & Trust Matter

This is your family— not just a booking.

Look for:

• Years of hands-on experience…not people who have barely had a dog who are in charge of the total welfare of your family member

• Real knowledge of dog behavior: temperament testing is key…otherwise, it is just hope and pray that your dog does not get injured

• A team that genuinely cares: not a revolving door of shenanigans

At Universal Dog Care Orlando:

💛 25+ years of rescue, dog care, and hands-on experience
💊 Comfortable with medications and special care
🐾 Personalized attention for every dog
